This is where the boat is the most radical perhaps. The dimples get a lot of comments, but overall I think most people are split on whether or not they make any difference. The large flat bottom plane has an edge that goes all the way around and does not transition out to the tips of the boat (where the rocker is confined) which I think is what makes this boat a good spinner.

The flat bottom has so many advantages. But one that I didn't realize until I started paddling the boat is how much it improves tough ferries. As you ferry and keep your upstream edge up slightly, the water tends to slide under you, grabbing the boat very little and minimizing your downstream slip.
