Here is an image of my attempt to make a cheap copy of the Salamander BackYak, a way of carrying your boat backpack style, although it worked fine for this trip, it was not as comfortable as the real thing, and even this was due largely to the fact that my PFD had foam over the entire top of the shoulder.
