We unpacked some gear and then Rocky and I headed out to do a quick circumnavigation of the island. Rocky was in his WW boat and was hoping to do some surfing on the West side but instead we found sheer statified cliffs with volcanic rock layered like a cake.

Back to camp for a quick meal with the surf pounding on the other side of the sea wall.

A short walk along the coast to the south brings you up to a small footpath that edges along the cliffs. From here the rugged coast and pounding surf can be safely observed. Also we saw several whales from this vantage point, as well as an excellent sunset.
